Hi jigzyy and all,

I got a rejection aswell and would like to know your opinion on it . I have 3 years Bacherlors (ACCA) , age 27, refused for the reason : program, family ties, scope of job in my county. I chose to study Business Analytics , 8 months course. As analytics is the new field of study I wanted to study it but not MASTER it, as I am an accountant. Plus Universities are very expensive so I chose this path of education.

Do you think my choice of program resulted in rejection ? I am from Pakistan. How should I pursue this ? Thanks

What was your timeline?

Can you write your profile? Secondary and Higher secondary scores, year when you graduated ACCA, how many years of gap between education and what is your experience?

Based on the existing information, its 99% likely that the program of choice resulted in refusal. Did you apply SDS or non-SDS. What is your financial situation? You can PM me if you don't want to share details publicly. Secondly, you can order GCMS notes to read actual reasons for refusal.

At what time did you get refusal?

HI @jigzyy ,

Here is my profile , please:

Age 26
Time
: Applied in May 2020 - Refusal : September 2020
Education Profile:
Alevels - Acca : No gap . Completed ACCA in 2019. I have 3 years of work experience at EY.
Non-SDS .
Financially I can afford 1 year diploma but did not provide any Property statements, just showed Bank account with enough for the 1 years study program.

I have ordered the notes and I think it takes 1 month to come. How can I PM you , please let me know .
I didn't submit IELTS as it was not required for Non-SDS.
Someone mentioned that you can change program later, how is that so ?

Thank you.

Nonsense, even someone in the age of 60 can migrate. Get a job offer, apply for Provincial nomination that requires a job offer. Apply for EE as FSW. You will score enough even with zero points for age. Age is completely irrelevant other than for lowly qualified applicants who have nothing else to show for.

Do not rely on Lawyers / Agents. They are getting paid to provide you sugar coated lines. The reality is that, you are never going to get visa with the choice of program. And Yes, they do accept PRs in 30s but the chances of applying and getting accepted from home country without Canadian education gets really low at that age. That's why people opt to study for one year of certificate to gain additional points and apply for PR which Visa Officer knows.

How will you contribute to Canada and the Canadian economy after you immigrate? Your proposed study plan does not offer much hope in this regards.

its all legal, but I do not why they are strict in such cases.

Yeah it's weird. They want people to immigrate but not look like they're trying to immigrate

Because not all people finish their stated education in Canada , drop out etc , or can’t get a job after graduating then start attempting to get work here, or just don’t want to leave
If you’re intention is too immigrate then go thru Express Entry
They are strict because they are allowed to be strict . Immigration isn’t a right

Thanks for stating the obvious

I had more or less the same profile when I applied in 2018. The difference was I went for a masters and attained an approval.

The bigger the gap and higher your age, the stronger your case needs to be.

Let me know when you get a job offer for PNP and/or immigrate at the age of 60. Theoretically it's all possible, not so much in reality.
