Hello everybody,
Today, after much anticipation and nervous waiting i received a refusal letter from IRCC.

Profile:
Male
Age: 32
Country: Bangladesh
Program: MBA

Grounds for refusal:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/ section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

1. The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.

2. Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and
available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or
program of studies that you intend to pursue.

3. Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and
available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family
members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

I find the lack of funding for a reason odd since I showed over $100,000 in my fathers account (Entire Tuition + Living cost being 75,000).
I submitted a letter showing his willingness to sponsor me as well. What am i doing wrong?

Also anybody know what they mean by the first reason? is the deatils in my application not consistent because of problems with the fund? Or is there another reason.

at 32 years did you show any of your funds? if not he needs to transfer the money into your account for assurance just to be on the safe side. were you working? for $75000 course you need to show the value the program will have to your career growth

For first point, you need GCMS notes. It can mean that IRCC doesn’t believe you are a genuine student and using the program for immigration purposes. What school…a good public DLI? You are 32 years old so should be showing your own funds not your father’s funds. Do you have any of your own funds.

Hey Naturgrl, thanks for replying. Yes the school is a public university, it’s good enough I guess, nothing compared to toronto or ubc.
I have some funds in my account but it’s not enough to cover tuition or living cost.

Hey ME_A, I have some money in my account but it’s not enough for tuition or living expenses so I did not submit my bank statement.
Yes I was working for 7 years after graduation but I quit in November last year to start studying for GMAT and ielts. Which I explained in SOP.
I have shown career growth potential by explaining in my line of work (operations manager, manufacturing) any further progression requires a post graduate degree and that North American degrees are highly regarded by employers in my country.

You need GCMS notes for point 1. As for funds, IRCC wants to see that you (not your father) can afford to attend. Don’t know how much the program is but IRCC doesn’t want to read that your father is using all his own savings for your education.

Show your own and your father can transfer some amount to you for commitments, and yes you need gcms notes to know the exact reason
