Study Permit pending approval but semester is starting

Hi there, my study permit is stkls pending approval but my semester is starting soon. Most likely it'd start before my study permit comes through. Am I still allowed to study with a tourist visa?? What do I do? Please guide me. Thanks.

No you can't study with a tourist visa. You should contact the school and ask to defer your enrolment until the fall.
