Hey man, exact same situation is happening with me rn. Gave my biometrics in June and medical not requested but I checked today and they are reviewing my eligibility. Hopefully, there will be some movement in the coming weeks then!

Hallo everybody,
here ist the timeline we are experiencing for my son (17 years old, from Germany i.e. non SDS):
online application date: 06th May 2022 (please note that competent for Germany is the VISA-Application Center in VIENNA, Austria)
biometrics completed: 10th May 2022 in Düsseldorf/Germany
Last message received on IRCC-Portal: 07th May 2022 (Biometrics Collection Letter)
*** since then nothing more! ***
It is about a Study-Permit together with an Open Coop Work Permit. College-courses in Vancouver begin on the 12th of September 2022.
The application is in still in queue for the initial review!!!
"Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility"
Is there anybody from Germany experiencing a similar delay?
Today is the 23rd of July, week 11 after biometrics were successfully completed.
Any tips?

Apparently, a lot of people are going through a similar scenario. It is some issue from IRCC's end. My agent told me that these things do get updated even on the same day as the day a decision is made. Just ensure that the office you visited to complete the biometric process has sent it to IRCC (you can confirm it by calling/visiting them). If that has been done then there is nothing to worry about, since they already have your complete application.
There is no delay. You are within average processing timelines. Eligibility review has yet to begin. IRCC is backlogged with applications.
But haven't people who applied in the first week of May already started to hear back?
Some people but not everyone. Some people have been waiting since early 2022. Some receive approval in a few weeks. I don’t try to understand IRCC’s system.

I apply on 21st march, my biometric update on 25th march, my medical update on 3rd may but still I not received any confirmation. I submitted web form on 21st June but they send email that your visa process is under process.
