Hello Friends.
My son ( 18 years+ age ) got admission in University but still we are on Refugee claimant (Not protected). How i can get study permit for him ?
Thanks in advance.

Would also suggest looking at the cost of tuition as an international student. In some schools you are looking at 40k/year. Given you have been denied and are appealing it may not be worth spending that much money especially if there is no guarantee degree will be completed in Canada

if possible wait till claim is accepted, tuition will be way lower (domestic rate) and also dont have to worry about claim being refused and leaving school hence wasting all the that money as well as time and effort

Thank you Cancuk78 for your sincere advice. Actually my son already got scholarship from one University and now will consider as domestic student ( Finance point of view ). Also its very painful for a hardworking student to waste one year during his education.

@Naturgrl & @ohaurela , Thanks friends for your feedback. Technically you are right but some universities are offering scholarship for not protected person or even without status person. They cover the extra fee top of domestic fee. ChatGPT can help and also let me know if you need some more information.

So apply for study permit. You are cutting it close for September. Good luck.
