I am a masters student currently doing my research. I came to to study at University of Windsor but later had to switch to memorial academy. By doing so i had to extend my study permit but i was given only a year for a 2 year program. So i applied again and i was given another 6 months but am not done with my research and want to apply again. Is there a limit to how many times you can extend it?

There is no set limit. As long as you can shown you are continuing your program in good standing and have sufficient finances, you should be fine.
