Study permit extension

Actully i applied for my study permit extension on may 17, and still i did not get any result.
I just got an letter which says your files has been transfered to local office in etobicoke.
I dont know how long they will take to process that. is there any similar cas

Any gaps in studies ?
Why are you extending your SP ?
