study permit extension

i am an international student in Canada. i failed one subject in my final semester in April 2014 and my study permit expires in July 2014. unfortunately this subject was available only in next January 2015. is there might be any complications in extending my study permit ?? as there is 6-7 months gap.

can you ask ur college if u can take another subject next sem instead of the failed one.
