Hello, I will post a brief summary of my situation here but I am willing to provide more pertinent details as needed.
My current study permit expires on July 31st, 2012. However, I was injured during August of 2011 and as a result, I failed some of my courses in subsequent semesters. I will now need one more successful semester that ends on August 17th, 2012. After my graduation, I will be able to apply for my once-in-a-lifetime post-graduate work permit.
My main questions regarding to the specifics of my next application are:
1. Is it wise to mention my intention of getting a post-graduate work permit? (and possibly getting a longer extension since I need time to sort things out and apply for one)
2. How much candian dollars should my proof of fund show? (at the moment, I have a statement that shows a balance of about CAD $13 000)
3. Any other general tips on making a "smooth" application? (what to include, what to avoid, etc.)
Thank you very much for your attention and time... and your potential help!
Regards,
crosscounter
