I am currently, in my last semester studying as an international student in Ontario. My studies will probably end in the 3rd week of April this year (depending on when the exams end) and my study permit expires on 30 April, 2024. Given that my school will take a couple weeks to publish grades and give me a letter of course completion (early May), my study permit will have expired by then.
Can you please advice on how should I tackle this to apply for PGWP?
Should I apply for a Study Permit Extension stating that I need the 3 months to receive my diploma, apply PGWP and attend convocation ceremony? Canada.ca states that I should either leave Canada and apply for PGWP OR apply for a "Visitor Record" to stay in Canada longer.
I do see a few posts on this forum from the past advising the above former option. I am asking this question again in case the rules have changed. Apologies, if this has been answered before.
