What is the window of entry once I am approved for my study permit?
For example, if I get it this month do I have to leave as soon as possible or can I decide to leave next year?

You cant leave until Canada lifts border restrictions. Right now only Canadians are allowed to return home no body else can travel to Canada so even if u do get a visa stamped now, u cant travel.

What about when Canada does lift its restrictions?

In that case u can travel right away. Normaly u have to be in Canada before ur clases start.
