I'm from the USA and was only recently confirmed for schooling that starts next month. Since it's so last minute I didn't have time to apply for my study permit online due to lack of a loan but have heard from friends and through other sources online that study permits can be given out without the confirmation form over the boarder. But I'd be flying into the country and I'm worried they'll deny my request for a study permit because I didn't apply online, even if I have all of the other necessary paperwork. Since international students can still be accepted this late, does that mean that I can still be permitted in and receive my study permit when I get into Toronto, or will I be turned away? If anyone has been in a similar position as me I would love some insight. I'm really nervous because I'll need to pay some money before I get to the country to keep my seat in the program I applied for since it's so last minute, but I'm afraid I will have paid and made all of these arrangements only to be turned away! I'm getting really nervous and anxious about it so I would really appreciate some help!
