My name is Selin . I’m currently in Montreal, Quebec for my exchange studies at University of Quebec in Montreal, Quebec. I’m a Turkish Citizen. I entered Canada, with my SX-1 visa, Student category. This visa allows me to study at a Canadian university for only one semester.
Normally, I had received an acceptance letter for one year from University of Quebec in Montreal. During the time when I applied for my study visa,I didn’t have my CAQ document. The government gave me an SX1 visa, which doesn’t allow me to get a study permit for a year.
Recently, I have been doing my applications for one year. I have received my CAQ document and did my online application for S1 visa, study permit. After one week, I received a message from the immigration office saying that they require my passport. I don’t know where to send since I’m currently in Canada and I’m not a canadian citizen. I don’t know if I should send my passport to Los Angeles or Ankara, Turkey.
During the application for my country of residence, I wrote Turkey, Istanbul because that is where I’m originally from. For the section ‘’ou vous effectuez la demande’’, I said Canada because I’m currently in Canada.
