Nobody can say for certain but it is better to have the money either in your account or your parent's/direct family member's account. Also, new accounts with no/lack of history are extremely suspicious. A good strategy is to show 4 months worth of statements.

My family doesn't want to help me since they are saving for themselves. Is it possible if we open a joint account in Scotiabank even if he is currently in Canada and I'm here in Ph?
