I'm from Iran. I was just curious what your nationality is. And I had the feeling that maybe the fact that the world doesn't "like" my country is affecting this. But that's stupid. I guess I should just keep on waiting.

Hey I think you might have to play the waiting game with the LA Consulate and keep waiting for the best. Mine application took exactly 10 weeks( which is the processing time) for them to request my passport which they returned with my visa stamped in a week. How long has it been since you submitted your application?

Mine application took exactly 10 weeks( which is the processing time) for them to request my passport which they returned with my visa stamped in a week. Mine has been 13 weeks now though...they really waste a lot of time.

So the processing time does actually mean something! I submitted mine on 20th of September, so it's been nearly 4 months, which is ridiculously long. The annoying thing is that they waited for 3 months just to tell me that I needed medicals (they requested for medicals on 17th of December).

I'm currently a student in the US and I kind of jeopardized my position here to go to the Canadian university, but it seems like I'm investing on the wrong thing. It's already very late and I have no idea how long it's gonna take them after medicals.

4 months sounds ridiculous and they should at least be able to respond your case specific enquiry. Check you cic account from time to time and All the Best to you..don't lose hope.

Guys, I got it ! I got the email requesting my passport and I sent it an hour ago !!!
