Student spouse visa tiger please reply

Hi
I am from India currently working as a software developer(java) from past 2 years in india. My husband is studying masters in Alberta. I have done engineering in computer science with 88% and my husband recently got scholarship from his university because of his good academic performance
his study permit ending in Jan 2016, Now i want to join him in Canada i want to know what should i apply for a visitor visa or an open work permit and what are the chances of approval,
What are the requirements for applying for a visa
