How can i change my status from a student to PR...is it that i have to exit from Canada and re-enter again to change my status or i can do this while staying in Canada..please help

1. Your mother has to "land" first. Then you can either phone the call centre for an appointment at local CIC (6-8 weeks) or you can go to the Border and "flagpole" and get "landed" when you return to Canada.

thanks for the reply...

1-Is "Flagpole" legal?

2- My local CIC can change my status?
1-yes
2-yes, but only after your mom has landed. Since she is the primary applicant, she must land before you or at the same time as you.
