Hi everyone ,

I used to study at McGill University for 2 years and used to do a research at a research center. I received about 29000 dollars for 20 months of work but it was an award , so it was not counted officially as Research Assistant.

Now I want to apply for PR and I want to know if I can count that 20 months as my job experience here in Canada or not ! Does my my OFFICIAL title have to be Research Assistant or it is enough to say I was working there ?

Thanks !

You are not eligible for PR under the Canadian Experience Class if you gained your work experience while on a student work permit (co-op, off-campus or on-campus).

I know , but I'd like to know if I can put it in my work experience or not ? When I want to fill out the forms , can I count on it as my work experience here in Canada ?
