Look lik strike may be over on Tuesday

http://www.pafso.com/news_releases.php?newsID=155

last para says

“We are prepared to maintain our strike through the summer and deep into the fall if necessary. We would prefer that the employer accept our offer of binding arbitration so we can get back to doing what we do best: building a more prosperous, secure, and diverse future for Canada. If the Government sincerely believes its offer is ‘fair and reasonable’, they should have no concerns with presenting that position to an independent third party. We await the Government’s response.”

looks like they wil continue if necessary

strike really hasn't impacted CEC, at least not those who are at final stages.
i got my initial COPR less than 2 weeks after I submitted my passport, (back in second week of june while the strike was on).
it had an error, so I sent it back, and got it returned again less than 2 weeks later.

There has definitely been an impact on CEC applicants. The number of MR's etc has slowed down dramatically. *Sigh* - there is always something!

Both MRs & PPRs have been pending for a lot of applicants. So the strike is indeed affecting CEC applications.

I am still waiting for my passport to be returned. Now it is more that two weeks.

Is the issuance of PR card part of the affected sector due to the strike?

LOL no offense my friend but Im sure every one on here would of loved to of seen Meds requested in just 4 short months like yourself. Sure you can hang on for a while to get your passport back!. count yourself lucky! you cant complain even if you have to wait 6 weeks. Even at that it would be a record breaker!, holly molly.

I didn't think he was complaining : just pointing out, like everyone else that there are indeed delays.
Since CIC has his passport, I would definitely be nervous

Also, Waiting84 didn't have any influence over his speedy processing times - the way I see it? He's one less person in front of me to be processed :-P
