Strange call from Visa Office after visa issued!

Today I received a call from my visa office, asking me not to land in Canada until further notice. Does anybody else have the same experience? My visa was issued last month. I am so worried and confused... What do you think it is?

That's weird. Call CIC and ask if that was a legitimate call from CIC.

Which visa office is this ? could be someone playing a prank on u. Call and check with visa office yourself.

They had my information. It is Paris VO.

Something has happened that is causing them to review your file again. I don't think any of us can guess what that might be without a lot more information from you. Is there something about your file or a recent change to your circumstances that might cause CIC to review your file?

I dont think there is anything wrong about my file. I have been completely honest and nothing has changed since they issued my visa.

I am dying of stress...

I may be completely wrong here, but this could be related to recent attacks in Paris on Charlie Hebdo.

They might be stopping all landings related to PR originating from France/ Paris. Again, I may be completely wrong but one of the hypothesis.

It might be it. I mean the attacks were in Paris and I am from Iran. It is just so hard to see your dream in your hand just to take it away from you.

Yes - I feel for you. I hope you get notification from them soon that its all okay for you to land. They might just want to do additional security checks for all Paris VO.

The chances depend on what exactly triggered this response from the VO. If you haven't done anything wrong then I don't think you need to worry.

I agree with the previous poster that it might be related to the recent security concerns. May be they have now decided to do a longer or more extensive security checks on everybody entering Canada from particular countries. I also think that you being from IRAN could be one of the reasons. I could be wrong though!

I tried calling them. It is an automated phone answering number. There is no operator...
