Hi, I got my PR visa approved and issued on 4th June 2025. The same day I got a call from IOM representative asking me for my travel date. I told them last week of june would be better as I need to travel before my partner’s current country’s visa gets expired, which is on july 2. I have also resigned from my job already as I was told im very close to travel. My IOM offer is Jordan.

However my sponsor sent me an email coming from the canadian government which states
“It is estimated that these applicants will arrive in Canada within seven to twelve weeks of the date of this notice*”

Its making me very anxious as I was only on my work permit in my current country and my work visa will be expiring in August after that I’ll have to leave the current country.

Dont worry about the letter your sponsors got, much. IOM always manages the exit permits. And if they say that they will get you out in last week of july, you will definately get your tickets around that timeline. but to be on safe side, keep in touch with the IOM represetative.

Are you sure it is PR and not just refugee? Typically you then need to apply for PR once in Canada.

Thanks a ton for reassurance! I will just have to wait and see when they send me the booking details and the NAT notification. I told them i have to travel last week of JUNE maybe its too soon for them to manage stuff. I hope not.
