Stop studying in Quebec

Hi everyone,

Now I'm an international student in Quebec, I'm studying and working in a research institute and all of monthly fees are being paid by my professor

because of some private concerns, I want to stop my study

So, My question is: Can I stay at Quebec/Canada for several months because the expiration of my VISA and study permit is until 2018? if yes, May I face with any problem?

Your study permit will be automatically canceled once you've stopped studying for more than 90 days. Once your study permit is canceled, you'll be in Canada without status (illegally). If you want to remain in Canada after dropping out of school, you'll need to apply to change your status in Canada to visitor.

If you are working, you'll need to stop working as soon as you stop attending school.
