Hi Team,

My work permit will be expired on Jan 15,2016. I have applied for BOWP for new employer on Sep 19,2015.I know,I will only get my new work permit on beginning of Feb,2016.

I am looking for new job now because my current job contract will be finish on Dec 2015. What if I get new Job,Will I still able to work in the new job even if my work permit expired.

Thanks in Advance,

If you have applied for the BOWP before the old work permit expires, once it does expire, you will be on implied status until you get a response to your BOWP application (as long as you remain in Canada).

Implied status means you can continue working under the same conditions as your old work permit.

If you currently have an open work permit, you are allowed to change employers, so that condition will remain under implied status.

But if you currently have a closed work permit (can only work for the named employer), then NO, you cannot work for a new employer until you get a new work permit.

Hi,

Even the new employer will not consider you as you don't have any valid document.
