Hello,
Below is my situation.
I have a pretty good job offer in Web Development in Quebec and I'm a new grad with a degree in Computer Science : Software Engineering. I've been tasked with finding a way to work in Quebec and was wondering what would be the most efficient way of getting this done.
I was hoping to use the fact that I'm American and try to aim for a visa via the NAFTA pact (classifying under Computer Systems Analyst) but I'm not sure how strict the border analysts are with this type of visa classification.
I've heard that the alternative process of getting a work visa (like all other countries must do) can take some time to do because of the LMIA and sometimes fails.
Any tips for an American Software engineer trying for the NAFTA (TN) visa? ie: Steps, experiences, tips for preparing application or tips for employer when filling out job offer and work description
Thank you
EDIT: I realize I've posted this in the wrong section, if a moderator could move this, that would be great. Apologies
