Dear members,

I have a step aunt who is a Canadian citizen. She's my mother's step sister (common mother, different fathers) Please confirm if I'm eligible for the FSW EE eligibility adaptibility points. Please note that she listed my mother as her sister on her PR application.

Zero CRS points. CRS points are only granted for siblings.

have you checked the breakdown of the eligibility points? can you list them here

Thank you for your response. Yes, I'm getting 66 points without adding the adaptibility points. I have a bachelors degree, 1 year of full time work experience, marital status is single, IELTS CLB 9 and my age is 25.

I have a step aunt who is a Canadian citizen. She's my mother's sister (same mother, different fathers). Do I qualify for the adaptibility points on her basis? Do step aunts and uncle qualify for the 5 adaptibility points?

sorry that doesnt qualify for points

sorry that doesnt qualify for points
Can you provide a link that confirms the same? The CIC website states 'child of a grandparent' which suggests that step aunts and uncles may qualify. It's very confusing

sorry for the above info, mother's sister could qualify as relative if you have documentation to prove the same.

Are birth certificates (showing common mother but different fathers) enough to prove my mother and her step sister's relationship?

FYI, you need to be referring to her in the correct way as your mother's "half sister". A "step sister" has zero blood relationship.

Thank you, I stand corrected. I'll be eligible for 5 adaptibility points on basis of my half aunt, right?
