Stayed more than 6 months as visitor

My mom came in Canada in 2017 as a visitor. It was my fault that I completely forgot to extend her visa before her allowed stay which is 6 months. She overtayed for almost 3 months. Now, she is planning on visiting as again in a couple of months. Her visa is still valid. Will she meet any problems knowing that she overstayed on her first visit?

I possible you know whether it will be an issue. Would suggest she have a return ticket showing that she plans on not overstaying.
