Stay of family for PR card after landing

Hello All,

Thanks for this very helpful resource and the people running it.

I have a few questions and would be glad to get a quick reply.

My entry visa expires on 26 oct 2016. What would you suggest that should we wait till june 16 to travel to canada or we should show entry asap dec15 to keep everything smooth?

Following the first question, my problem is that due to some issues in my home country for now, my family will have to come back in 15,20 days and I the principal applicant will stay there

Can I collect my family's PR card? While they are back here and iam the only one staying there

I will have to keep a 2 out of 5 year living in canada for now until issues are resolved in the home country.

Kindly help! It would be great news if i can pick up my family's PR CARDs including mine and they can come back later that year.

what i understood is you and your family are approved of permanent residency in canada and cic gave you until oct2016 to land.It means you have 1 year time to complete your landing procedures which you can do any time before oct2016.

You can always collect yours and family pr cards as they are automatically posted to your canadian address once you all land.once an individual isPR he/she has to individually maintain status of 2 out of 5.

I would suggest fix some of the problems back home and land near oct 2016 with all family even then you can't stay go back and return after 1or 2 yrs
