Hi everyone,
I'm from Germany and in Canada since August 2008. I live with my boyfriend, Canadian, since over one year, worked the whole time at the same company and can't imagine to wait without being able to work.
I was almost ready to send my PR application to Vegreville, as I found this great Forum and realized over the posts that I have the possibility to apply with the PRA for an Open Work Permit with using the form IMM1249. I already got great support and I'm really impressed how helpful everybody is.
Does anyone know if we have to the get a Statutory Declaration of our Common-law Union or can we use anything else to proof? I'm just wondering because they are not mentioning anything regarding the Statutory Declaration in the instruction guide for "Applying to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada - Worker" and it's not even required for the PR application from Inside Canada.
