Hi folks,

I'm a little perplexed by what I am seeing on the CIC website. My wife is sponsoring me outland from Canada and I am currently living in the U.S.

If I check the status of my application using our application number, and my name, birthdate and birthplace, the status says "Decision Made." There are 3 bullet points:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 6, 2016
2. We started processing your application on July 5, 2016
3. Medical results have been received

Shouldn't there be 4th bullet in there about a decision being made?

If I check the status of my application using the UCI provided to my wife, her name, birthdate and birthplace, the status says "In Process" for the sponsor application and "Decision Made" for permanent residence. Now, how can that be??? She was approved as a sponsor a little while back, so I am wondering if they have the status flip flopped. Any thoughts?

I personally wouldn't worry. ECAS doesn't have the best info. My husband's ECAS status didn't show "decision made" until three week after he had landed and become a PR.

I have the opposite problem though. I see "Decision Made" already. I'm wondering if the "Decision Made" status could be wrong.

maybe there is a chance you may have been approved already. again, it's really nothing to worry about.

as scylla suggested, ECAS is not a reliable source for information. if something doesn't seem "right" on ECAS, it doesn't suggest anything is wrong with your file. it could either be a mistake on CIC's part or it could mean they finished processing your application. if you are that concerned about it, you can always order your GMSC notes (the electronic file) to see if anything sticks out.

We saw "Decision Made" on ECAS, but also there was no fourth bullet on the details. Fortunately we got an email with landing date shortly after. It still said "Decision Made" a week after he landed

On your wife's side, I think it will always show in process. Mine continues to say "In Process" even though my husband has now landed. We never received a fourth line on his side regarding the decision made or any of the correspondence we received from them. It now has a fourth line indicating that he landed at Toronto Pearson and became a permanent resident. Unless there is a mistake on CIC's end (but probably not, they have been processing US applicants very quickly this year) you should receive your COPR in the mail soon, assuming you have a US passport.

Congrats!
