Hi Guys,

I am currently residing in Toronto and got my application number and medical request last week.

I am planning to get married here in Canada on 15th May. Should I go for medical now and then notify CIC about the status change after marriage ? Or, should I inform CIC now about my marriage plans on 15th May and delay my medicals. Can someone pls advice?

Thanks

will your spouse needed to be added to your application?
if not then it doesn't matter what you choose.
just email a copy of your solemnization of marriage plus your spouse's passport page to CIC and do your medical whenever you wish.

if your spouse needs adding then I would get married, email CIC with all the documents that need adding to the application and then do your medical as late as you can, waiting for your spouse's medical request

Thanks lpc19800.

I need to add my Spouse in the application as well.

It will take some time for me to get the Wedding certificate (6 weeks) and collect rest of documents. Will there be a problem if I go for medicals first alone.?

Can you pls advice?
