Status at the time of issuing of PR Visa

Hi,

Am on WP which is valid till Jul, 2012. Would like to know, whether if I apply for Canadian PR and during issuance of PR visa (before Jul, 2012) am not in country, though i have valid WP, would the PR be issued to me.

Can anyone please clarify.

I would not see PR application and WP to be related. You can file your PR while on WP and if you meet the eligibility conditions then whether u r in canada or not should not impact the PR application
