Hi there
Trust all going well
Our DO is a normal one and no priority is considered, it’s obvious by our timeline
We have been in touch with other groups in some WhatsApp channels and here in this forum.
About your third question, I have no exact idea ; as I heard it depends on the country you live in, if you have resided in several countries it obviously takes more time.it might be done by third party in some cases

hope you find it useful

Note : "Priority ends when files are opened, meaning that the priority is to expedite opening files and not leave them on the shelf for years. Once a file is opened, priority files become equal to non-priority files."

Do you think asking for Global Note is useful ?as we are exceeding 48 months in coming weeks

as far as i heard from another applicant in this forum, Unfortunately, it will not help speed up the process. we may have another experience, let's see!!

Folks, just check processing time for SUV and it has been reduced to 39 months?
does anyone experience any movement in his/her file?

Wow. 41 months is insane. We're completing 30 months and getting crazy.
Do you think that requesting the ATIP ( if you didn't ) and/or requesting the MP ( some Member of Parliament ) support couldn't help?
I know some success cases in different programs where requesting MP support helps a lot, in at least one of the cases the PR was approved 1 week later.

We applied in Ago/22, received the AOR March/24 and our last update was June/24. Until there nothing.
My consulting could check the status that the Background Check is advanced but what is advanced counting in months and years !?

Still nothing, and we entered 41 months

We know some cases passed over 50 months (with C-check for background/Security screening) so it is a patient game!

I understand your concern, but the current 41-month wait isn't unusual. The SUV program's processing time recently reached 39 months, after being at 40 months for over four months. However, we expect processing times to decrease in the coming months, especially for "priority files."

Regarding your suggestions:

1. ATIP requests are typically not helpful for files within normal processing times.

2. MP support can be beneficial in some cases, though it's not guaranteed to expedite the process.

Based on your timeline (applied Aug/22, AOR Mar/24, last update Jun/24), your application appears to be following normal procedures. While waiting is challenging, I encourage patience as your file progresses.

Has anyone heard concerns the MTA SUV program no longer meets IRCC requirements? An Immigration Advisor mentioned that they are seeing multiple rejections for groups who previously received LOS due to deficiencies in their program.

"While I'm not familiar with what MTA stands for in this context, I can share some information about recent changes to the Start-Up Visa (SUV) program. The program has undergone several reforms recently, with mixed impacts on applicants:

Positive changes:

1. Work permit relaxation: The program now grants work permits to all applicants, not just those considered essential. This is a significant benefit for the all team.

Restrictive changes:

1. LOS limitations: Every incubator or Angel Investor are now restricted to granting only 10 Letters of Support (LOS), down from an unlimited number previously. This change aims to reduce backlogs and encourage choices that are more selective by incubators.

2. Application caps: IRCC has introduced annual limits on SUV applications:

- 2025: 2,000 applications

- 2026: 1,000 applications

- 2027: 1,000 applications

3. There also many other changes you can goggle to see details.

These caps will likely make the program more competitive.

Regarding IRCC requirements, while I haven't heard specific concerns about the program no longer meeting them, the changes and the Immigration Advisor's comment about multiple rejections suggest that the criteria for approval may have become more stringent. It's possible that what was previously acceptable may no longer meet current standards.
