I doubt any designated organization would want to support this. I don't think there's any real scope for this at all.

Ok.Can you please tell me some reasons why it will not work like what major points and facts can stop this.

Has a designated organization agreed to invest in your start up? If so, you can by all means try.

Yeah you are right. But Investment is not a problem. I just wanted to be aware of the points that should be taken care of while going towards this home car wash service.

You either need to do this market research yourself or hire someone like a lawyer to help you. There are already car washes in Toronto that are separate from gas stations. So you'll need to demonstrate the market for your specific business idea. That's not something anyone here is going to do for you.

I'm assuming you are familiar with the program and you know the designated organization that supports you must be from IRCC's list. It can't be just any investor.

A big requirement is innovation….if your car wash has some kind of innovation and is expandable like IP future licensing…you can go for it

The scope for a mobile car wash business in Toronto is good. Many people value the convenience of on-demand car washing at their doorstep, especially with busy lifestyles. If you offer reliable, quality service and easy booking, you can build a steady customer base.

It is illegal to discharge contaminated water - which will be a byproduct (water+chemicals) of washing cars in a residential driveway. Read up Chapter 681-3 of the Toronto municipal code for the law.

This thread deals with the Start Up visa program. There really isn't scope for this through this program unless someone was proposing a truly innovative approach to the business. A normal car wash won't cut it.

Ok.Can you please tell me some reasons why it will not work like what major points and facts can stop this.

  1. Lacks Innovation:
Designated organizations under the Start-Up Visa program look for innovative, scalable, and tech-driven businesses. A mobile car wash, while potentially convenient or eco-friendly, is not new or unique enough. It's considered a service-based business, not a disruptive or novel solution.
  2. Not Technology-Based:
The Start-Up Visa favors ventures in technology, AI, clean tech, fintech, biotech, etc. Unless the car wash integrates proprietary tech, automation, or IoT solutions, it doesn’t meet the tech threshold.
  3. Limited Scalability:
Designated organizations want businesses with global growth potential. A localized service like a car wash—even mobile—is typically labor-intensive, and geographically limited, making it hard to scale internationally.
  4. Competitive Market with Low Barriers to Entry:
The car wash sector is highly saturated with low differentiation. Anyone can enter this market with minimal capital or innovation, which weakens its appeal to investors and incubators looking for high-impact ventures.
