My Father-in-law traveled to Toronto from India in November 2017 and since then he is living with us. In March 2018, he traveled to U.S. from Toronto . However, at both times(in November 2017 and March 2018), he dint get stamped on passport at Canadian immigration point. Through some online forums, we figured it out that there is no more stamping done at Canadian immigration point and they just scan your passport. My question is how we will get to know when he is completing six months and need to leave the country i.e. it will be according to November 2017 or March 2018. Further, he got stamped at U.S. immigration center for entering in U.S.
As per my understanding, his six months time will start from March 2018 but just want to be double sure.
