Hi Everyone,

I sent my applicaiton to Alberta on April 1st and It was recieved on April 5th. I am also in the same boat as you guys are. Can anyone of you answers my few questions. Thanks in advance.

1) What is a good time to apply for FBI clearence for those who has sent applicaiton between April 1st to April 15th?

2) What is NOC ?

3) Should I apply for FBI and State clearence for my wife as well?
4) Do we need to submit to bufflo sealed transcript from all universities we studied so far?

Any thing else which we have to get before we apply to buffolo after nomination.

Thanks and appreciate for you replies

1)Dont think about applying for PCC until at least you get a file number. It will be waste of time and money. you wont see a decision from AINP until Feb'10 until unless 3there is some radical change in process. Just casually gather info about PCC's for now. That's enough for now. And you need all PCCs for everybody who is going to Canada with you.
2) How come you applied without knowing what a NOC is.........
3) You dont need any transcript etc.

Guys,

As I have already started working on collecting the documents for the CIC process, I have couple of queries. Hope you can help me with those.

- I got my State and Federal Police Clearance done Electronically. Is it as valid as the regular manual process?

- How to estimate for the total minimum funds required for a family?

- How much time the Police Clearance from India takes?

Police certificates are only valid for 3 months. FBI and state police certifticates for each state in US are required where you resided more than 6 months plus India's police certificate. If you can show around $17,000 CAD for a family of 3(You your wife and Child) that should be enough and that's just an estimate, please see CIC site for exact amount. Police certificate from India takes 2 months through Indian consulate, details are in the consulate website.

Hi All. Today I get email from AINP and they required two things from me.
1 :Confirmation of Current Employment: ( I understand that )
2:Candidate's Application for Permanent Residence: ( I dont know whats that, detailed message is as follows)
The items mentioned below were either missing from the submission, or require(s) more information or clarification. Please read these sections carefully, and refer back to our website: www.albertacanada.com.ainp, for more detail(s) needed to help prepare a complete application.
1 Confirmation of Current Employment:

* A copy of any document(s) from current U.S. employer demonstrating current job title, the main duties of the job, and the education and work experience necessary to do the job. The document(s) must be one or more of the following: job offer letter(s), employment contract(s), reference letter(s), and/or requests/petitions to USCIS for your U.S. visa. The document(s) must be on company letterhead.

We may already have a copy of the offer letter and work reference letters; however, we require a document which lists the current job title and the main duties (a brief but detailed job description). We find the petition letter the employer used to supplement the H1B application, provides us with the most detailed description of the job and qualifications – you can email us a scanned copy of the USCIS petition letter job description which the US employer used to supplement the H1B application
2Candidate's Application for Permanent Residence:

* Copy of the completed set of forms for the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada : Be sure to include signatures

· IMM 0008 Generic: Candidate

· IMM 0008 Schedule 1: Candidate, Spouse/Common-law partner, Dependents (over 18)

· IMM 0008 Schedule 4: Candidate

· IMM 5406: Candidate, Spouse/Common-law partner, Dependent (over 18)

· IMM 5476 (If Applicable): Candidate, Spouse/Common-Law Partner, Dependents (over 18) – ONLY IF USING A REPRESENTATIVE
Anybody can explain about the second Item. Are they asking for ( IMM 0008 , IMM 5406 , IMM 5476 ) forms.
I didn't get any file number yet. why they are asking for those forms at this stage.

Thanks for your help.

I Applied on 9th Apr with 2173 Code. Also I sent my Offer letter but they required petition letter to USCIS for U.S visa.
Can you explain other documents required . As I know those documents are not required when you apply for AINP. Its for CIC when you get approval. Anybody else had same experience like me.

You have to submit the photocopy of all CIC forms to AINP. Page ii of AINP 009A form lists the CIC forms you have to send to AINP.

You must maintain your H1-B status till you receive your nomination. You won't be eligible for AINP if you go out of status before nomination. Sometimes Alberta asks for your recent paystubs!
