HI Angel:

your time says medical status was updated 2nd Feb and you received ppr letter on 10th Feb. Do you remember the date of the letter issued. I was wondering whether the update shows before or after the letter issue date.

Once again congrats and welcome to Canada ....

Thanks,

Hi everyone.

I got my PPR today. I screamed and cried and almost fainted.
I'm submitting my passport in person tomorrow. They are open from 8.30am - 12.15pm Monday to Friday.
You will need to resubmit photos according to immigrations standard, not passport photos. (I'm going out to take photos now!!!) And include a self addressed envelope as well as select method of collection. (registered mail, courier (cash on delivery), or in person.)

I am relieved. Just a bit more of waiting and I can say I'm done with this visa agony.

I hope all of you get yours very soon too. I will update on all long it took for me to get my passport and COPR back.

Here is my timeline:
23 September 2009 - App sent
14 October 2009 - Decision made on sponsorship
27 October 2009 - Case started processing
4 March 2010 - CNCC sent
16 March 2010 - Passport request received
17 March 2010 - Sending in passport in person!

Hi,
My husband got his PPR on Friday. ECAS never change from "in process" we never had "medicals recieved" Once Singapore receieved his application we never heard one thing from them, I think for those who have had no news, like us, it may be good news!
Just an amazing suprize in the mail that said they were ready to issue his visa!
In total the process took 4.5 months. 3.5 in Singapore.
Good luck to all, there is light at the end of the tunnel!

hi singapore ppl. i have a question for you guys.

i just got approval letter today for sponsorship. so the file now is fowarded to singapore.
i dont have phone bills because i used phone cards to call her. so i submitted phone cards.
i know its a mistake after reading the forums. so now i got long distance hooked up.
so after a couple of months from now i should have a couple of phone bills.
so should i send them the phone bills after couple of months from now or should i wait untill they request it?
i missed my wife so much, i dont want the application to be delayed.

Hi:
I also submitted the phone cards. I wrote a letter explaining why phone cards were used and not Bell/Telus long distance. I believe this will not create any problem. To be on the safe side, you may want to sent an explanation letter abt the ph cards. Just mention tht all or most of the calls made by using the cards were to your wife. This can be verified by contacting the calling card company by using the pin/serial number of each card. That's wht I wrote in my letter.

Thanks...

Hi etownboy

At this point, it is not necessary anymore to submit the phone bill. As you said you all ready got your sponsorship approved. The phone bills, letters, photos, cards...etc.. all those are used to determine genuineness in your relationship as a deciding factor for sponsorship part only.

Now that her forms are being sent to Singapore, the only part left is processing her PR application.
That said, you can send still send them in.
I'm assuming that she hasn't gotten her police cert (CNCC) so right now if you wish to hasten her application what you can do is send her a copy of the sponsorship approval letter ASAP so she can use that to apply for her CNCC at SPF which will take 2 weeks to process.

Good luck! :)

Passport submitted to CHC-- Bangladesh on March 25, 2010. CHC told my wife to wait for upto 8 weeks to get the letter from CHC-0 Bangladesh to pick up the passport.

Is it really 8 weeks ?????

We can't sent out Passport from Bangladesh using courier services. That's why it has to be submitted to CHC-Bangladesh and they internally sent the passport to Singapore for Visa and get back.

Unfortunately, this is the procedure which might be causing delay. But 8 weeks is simply unacceptable.........

I'm not too sure. Haven't heard of this.
I hope you find your answer or that it doesn't take so long.
