Hello,

My spouse is applying for a self-employed Permanent Residence but my line of work is different. If I stay in Canada, can I get a work permit from the beginning or after a few years or after applying for citizenship?

@scylla please guide.

Thanks,
Vijay

@Copingwithlife you mean for me only right or also for principal applicant?

Neither applicant can bring their parents. You can apply to sponsor them later but demand is far higher than the quota and the program is currently on hold as they consider what do to with it. Last time they accepted applications in early 2019, all spots were taken in a couple of minutes.

Its called something like ,,Super Visa which is for 10 years and at one time they can stay for 2 years, They opened for 10,000 applications and it was exhausted in less than 10 minutes, So many families are trying to bring their parents to Canada
