Hi,

I'm under a closed work permit and my spouse has an open work permit which she got when I got mine.

I'm planning to quit my job and join a new employee, my questions are:

* can she leave and re-enter the country with her current permission? (while I get the new WP)
* do I need to get her a new WP with my fresh WP (for the other employee)
* will I need to re-enter the country after the I get the new WP? also, Do i need a new stamp in my passport?

Thanks in advance.

- Yes, she can leave and re-enter provided she has a valid TRV.
- No, you don't.
- No, you won't need to re-enter Canada. You can apply for the new work permit within Canada.
