Spouse Visiting After Application Is Sent

Hello everyone,

I just sent my wife's forms off on February 18, 2019, and I was wondering if she's allowed to visit Canada while the application is being processed? I could have sworn I read somewhere that she can't but can't seem to find that bit of information anywhere.

Alternatively (and I'm sure the answer is no) but is there anyway that she can come stay here for an extended period of time while her application is being processed even though we made an out of country application?

If she has a visitor visa or is from a visa exept country she can visit - if she shows up at the border with all her belongings and no intention to leave she will likely be turned away. She will want to say shes staying ashort period and come with limited items. Once here if shes given the 6 months (if no stamp in visawith exit date) once thats up you can apply for anextension
