Hi,

I just had a quick question i'm am planning to go to Afghanistan for our marriage. As of right now one of the requirements for the sponsorship is that I have to provide financial support to my spouse (wife) but currently i am a second year student in college and my parents are supporting me. Am i still able to apply for sponsorship?

Thanks

Yes, ask your parents to write a letter offering to help support your husband as well. You can also write a plan of support - include items such as your husband's ability to work/education. Also in the letter, you can note by the time his VO approves his application, you will be in your final year of school and ready to work soon.

Thanks for replying!

But one more question, i don't think their education (i.e. going to university) can be worth anything here?

It might not, but mention it anyway. It shows he has the capacity for higher learning at the very least.
