Hello, I am sponsoring my spouse from Lebanon. I sent the application in February 2016.
We were told 3 months ago that the application was at the last stage and going through security checks.

Anyone, going through the same process, or have any idea what happens after and how long it takes for the security checks.

I have been going through the same. However, I sent the application back in March of 2015... Been under the same status for 19 months now!!!!!

when I checked with them, they told me the same, under regular security checks.. the timelines on the website were 17 months, then 15 months, now 14 months...
unfortunately nothing... very poor system.
I wish I could help, just felt like venting here..

i applied in sponsorship approved November 26 , 2015
my application file was lost by the embassy in Beirut i was requested to do an interview and bring some files i had previously provided ( the ones lost by the embassy ), the interview according to the officer was positive .

we emailed the embassy asking them about updates , they said they can't provide me with specific time frame for processing time is being conducted by CBSA.
