i have my pnp from nova scotia with my wife as dependent, i applied for pr, got the aapication number for pr, i applied for my spouse owp on 17 march 2017, no updates yet. whats the success rate.

Hi everyone! This forum is amazing - love the mutual support that is available here!

My husband just submitted his study permit application (for a 4 year PhD starting September) and my SOWP application together three days ago. When we checked the processing times on the website for Singapore (where we are based it said 23 weeks! We found it pretty strange because we tried many other random countries by way of comparison, and the longest processing time was nowhere near that - the listed waiting periods were mostly between 4-10 weeks. Anyone have any idea why Singapore is so problematic?

Also, my husband just received an update today saying that they received his application, and that they'll notify us if they need additional information. We were told they didn't need a medical exam, any additional documents, an interview, or even our biometrics. Maybe I'm just paranoid but is it normal for them not to want these things? Does this have something to do with the fact that he hold a Singaporean passport and I hold an American passport?

Once an application number is recieved we can apply for OWP? I recieved an ITA recently under express entry , with an application number. Does it count ?

Submitted : March 15th

Medical passed : March 30th

Passport request : May 19.

Did you submit marriage pics and letter from spouse while applying. I applied on March 3rd with the help of consultant based in Canada and he said Photographs and letter is not required. Now sure what is going to happen.

Passport request : May 19.

May 11 - Medical Submitted
May 15 - Medical Passed & Passport Request
May 16 - Passport Submitted
May 18 - CIC status changed to Approved
Now - Waiting for Passport to be back!

Yes I submitted those, because my marriage was just few months ago. So to make a strong documentation I included the photos, invitation card and call logs. I also included a letter from my wife and from me. (not sure whether its necessary or not, but to be safe I included in my documentation)
