Does any one applied Spouse open work permit from INDIA (Paper application).

If so ,Please provide the timeline .

My spouse file is in bangalore visa office,does anyone know how long it will take to get the medical request ,i submitted the file on june 29 /2016.

Normally, the processing time is 9 weeks for the whole process as per the CIC website, I submitted my spouse's file on April 29th and the 10th week has started so we can only wait.

Today I got an email from CIC saying that "MEDICALS --PASSED.."

Applied on 11th June with upfront medicals (medicals done on 4th June) & I linked my paper based application to ONLINE two weeks back. & i see there is an update today (6th July) in CIC account saying that MEDICALS passed..

my lawyer sent me a screenshot on 11 june n it was already showing review of medicals passed. no updates after that.

my visa(sowp) got approved today ;D


following is my timeline for ur reference

applied online from india - april 5(without medicals)
medicals request - june 16
medicals passed - june 25
passport request - june 30
visa approved - july 6

Hello,

Currently, I am on PGWP and have applied for PR after being PNP nominated (non-express entry).

I applied for SOWP (Online) on March 12, 2016 with following documents:
1) My PGWP copy
2) Her passport copy
3) Our marriage certificate
4) Upfront medical

Got rejection on May 17, 2016 due to lack of employment letter (NOC code), Salary slips, and bank statements.

Reapplied (paper based, VFS Delhi) on May 20, 2016 with following documents:
1) My PGWP copy,
2) Her passport copy
3) Employment letter from employer mentioning NOC code (1122)
4) Salary slips (3 months)
5) My Graduation letter and degree
6) Lease copy
7) PNP nomination certificate copy
8) Marriage certificate
9) Same medical document that was used for first time (validity is 6 months)

My concern is: whether attaching PNP certificate would impact this SOWP application because PR is for permanent residency and SOWP is for temporary residency.

Indeed it will help... saw bunch of people after 2 -3 rejections they got approval.
