Thanks for info fkl,

We have applied for Spousal Open work Permit now.We have already provided Medicals with it. I am on Postgraduate Work Permit and working full time permanent with Scotia bank as LAN Admin NOC 2281 -B....My husband is in India, he is working as Lecturer in University , had Masters of technology degree. What do you think , is it a good profile to get open work permit?

Please advise

Thanks

You are most welcome. The general info looks good. Did you provide enough proof of your job that the NOC of job is unmistakably clear?

For a PGWP holder it is a requirement to have a skilled job. Now often people submit job letters but they are not clear enough in describing responsibilities and compensation to be sure it is classified as for example NOC B. If you haven't, try adding this to your file by submitting case specific inquiry.

Hi fkl,

Yes I have provided enough proofs for my NOC as well i have applied for AINP before marriage under Skilled worker category. Here are the docs we uploaded for SOWP

Principle applicant Proofs......

Cover Letter explaining the situation
Passport scan copy
Medical
Police clearance certificate
Digital Picture
Educational Certificates
Employment letters
Experience letters
Pay Stubs
Tax forms
Property Assesment
Affidavit from father about parental property and support during his extended stay
IELTS general test certificate with 7.5 bands

Spouse Docs(Mine)

Statutory Declaration letter
Passport copy
Job letter from Scotiabank
Reference letter from Senior Manager
Pay stubs
Tax forms
Experience letters
educational certificates

Proof of Relationship:

Marriage Certificate
Ceremony Pictures
Trip pictures
Air ticket from Calgary to Delhi
Railway ticket from Delhi to Jalandhar (Showing my husband came to pick me up from Delhi airport and we traveled together to our respective city)

Work permit outside Canada form
Family Info form
TRV form

Because of first refusal, dnt want to be over confident about it.

Thanks

Actually it depends on the VO processing ur case. Chandigarh is the slowest of the lot. Delhi and Bangalore relatively prompt. Still waiting for response on online app filed on 26 march. Fingers crossed.

Dont worry about visitor visa rejection . You can apply for SOPW now with relevant documents . Your Spouse should have a skilled level job and the enough document from his/her employer showing its a skilled level job ( its really important to show its skilled level )

Hi,
I applied for my wife's open work permit online in the mid of May 2105. She is in Pakistan, so the processing times of Pakistan would
be applicable.
I am in Quebec on a PGWP and working as a Software Developer in Montreal in a multinational company.
How long does it take for the Medical Request to be done? Bio Metrics were given on 27th May in Islamabad.
The processing time i saw on the cic website is 6 months! But does it really take atleast 6 months for every one or can one expect less
than 6 months? Did any one get such a work permit for spouse in less than 6 months recently?
