Medical passed - 16 August
Review eligibility started - 6 September
Still waiting for an answer...kind of worried!!

Can you let me know through which agent did you apply.

I got a rejection for SOWP on September 9 with the reason 205(c)(ii).
My timeline is as follows:
Married on July 11.

Submitted application - August 20th.
Biometrics completed - August 23rd.
Upfront Medical approved - Sept 3rd.
Refusal Decision - Sept 9th.

List of documents I provided.

Spouse's Documents

1) PGWP.

2) Work Visa Copy

3) Proof of funds: 4000 CAD in spouse's Canadian account

4) Spouse's Canadian Masters Degree certificate

5) Canadian Job offer letter.

6) 6 months payslips

My Documents

1) Marriage Certificate

2) PCC

3) Call and Chat history

4) Facebook and Insta posts of us together.

Order GCMS Notes right away so you can know the detailed reasons before you apply again and get the same rejection . Nobody can give you a specific answer why your application was denied .
Your spouse can also contact his local MP and he can email IRCC on your behalf and get more detailed reasons for the rejection , good luck .

Thanks for your reply. Yes we have applied for GCMS notes. Do you think MPs help out in such cases.

There are many cases in here where people had the same situation as yours and got the refusal reasons with the help of MP , if you had already ordered GCMS you could hold off on contacting the MP .

Also you didnt show any proof of funds , property , strong ties to your home country etc ,(your marriage is also recent )
so your case is not as strong. Do a little more research next time to cover your grounds before you apply again .

Hey Folks. Thanks to this thread, I just learned that the processing times I should check for SOWP is of Work Permit Extension - thanks Fam. Currently it says 103 days for Online and 112 days for paper. Can anyone tell me if its 103 working days or just days?
