Thanks, I am thinking it takes approx 2 weeks for the passport to be stamped and the corresponding letter will come in CIC account.

Need some help here, sorry if it has already been addressed
1) I am applying for open spouse work permit for my husband along with my WP application. Reading the previous posts there is delay in getting approval for Open WP, so will this impact the time for my WP approval as well ?
2) How can we get unrestricted Open WP for my husband (any location and employer) ? In the application it asks for a province where the family member will be staying. We are not sure about it yet. If I put a province name like Ontario for open WP, then will it be problem entering Canada from any other province at port of entry, like Quebec (since I am working in Quebec)

I am working in Quebec as well. applied Open WP for my wife. you won't get a restricted one even if you select Quebec

If we select Quebec in the application,It asks for CAQ (Québec Acceptance Certificate), do we need this document to enter Quebec ?

May be you are filling in the wrong section? Normally CAQ is for temporary workers coming through employers.
I will be travelling on Work permit initiated by my company. But my husband will be on Open Work permit. The section asks 'If the family member needs CAQ or not ?' So i am confused whether I should fill Yes or No . Any idea about this ?
Also could you share the timeline for receiving the Open WP. If I apply now with my application, will it come along with my work permit ?
I applied on 17 March and my file wasn't even opened yet. I am not sure but I dont think he will need a CAQ.

I received Province nominee letter & Workpermit support letter for employer specific job.
I will be applying for workpemit(Internation Mobility program) and have a confusion about spouse & 4 yr old child.
1. From the forums I figured out that spouse Open WP can be applied jointly however Visa agent was suggesting to apply for visitor visa. Am I safe to apply for spouse Open WP along with me ?
2. For my child , I choose study permit as my job is permanent & so will be enrolling to school next year. It asks school details,fees,fund available etc. what should I put in that? OR shall I go for visitor visa for child?
3. I am filing online application from India. Shall I do upfront Medicals or wait for visa officer instruction ? or can I add it inbetween i.e. I submit the application right away & do medical in next week & share the result evenif case is in process?
I would really appreciate your help.
