Hi bro,
I want to ask about the required documents for open work permit for spouse. In your own case, did you include her family information form in her OWP application. I noticed there was no space to download/upload the document when I created account and answered the questionnaire for the open work permit application. Isn't it required for SOWP?

Yes we did attach the family information form... make a single PDF for the document you dont have space to upload... :)

We attached:

Spouse (Applicant)
Cover letter (Letter of Explanation)
Job offer letter
bank statmnt, FD's = total to 10,000 CDN
Passport copy
Picture
Family Info

My document
Job offer letter
Mutual Funds ($4k) and Bank statement ($2k)
PNP
Pay stubs 1 month
T4
Work permit
Tenancy agreement

Marriage certificate & one picture of Marriage.

Note** Funds are not required if your job is in NOC O A OR B.

Regards,
Sid

Whats does NOC 9914 mean on PNP certificate? Does it fall in NOC 0, A or B?

Must be mentioned on your PNP ..... dude..Please go through NOC List on CIC. :) I try to find it dint show me anything.. i guess you punched wrong code here.

Checked again on PNP certificate. It states: Name of occupation and NOC 9914 (which I didnt find either on CIC) and Restrictions on employment "No".

Hello Everyone,

I am an Indian citizen currently on Visitor status in canada living with my husband. I applied for my open work permit online but got rejected due to following reason:

Eligibility for a work permit in this category only applies to the spouse or common-law partner of a work permit holder who is doing work which is at a level that falls within National Occupational Classification Skill levels 0, A or B.

But he falls under NOC B, none of the documents were attached excepted the following:

  • IMM5710 - Application to change conditions, Extend my stay or remain in canada as a worker
  • IMM5257 - Application for TRV
  • Photo
  • Marriage Certificate
  • My Passport
  • Letter of explanation

I did the checklist 10 times already and every time I get the same message.

What document should I upload of my husband? How will I know what documents they need?

Please advice.

1, You need a letter from his employer outlining his job duties, so CIC can determine if he is working in a NOC A, B or O occupation,
2, Plus at least one check stub
