Where are you applying from? What is spouse’s status in Canada? And when does spouse’s status expire?
So working as a doctor in Canada with no work permit expiry? So is she PR? Application has yet to start eligibility review. You can raise a webform and ask about status. Your spouse, if she is your representative, can call IRCC and ask about status but will not expedite process.

So given his permit expires within 6 months, IRCC may not process your permit. If you get it, it will expire in July. Your spouse can call IRCC (google - IRCC phone number). He needs to be your representative on the file. You would have filled out the forms to do so.

But why they have not processed till now ?
i saw application profile updated on status but became submitted when i clicked on it. what does that mean ?
I don’t know why…probably backlog with thousands of applications in process.
Maybe officer is updating your application with an update and final decision is pending.
Assume you did biometrics.
Yes biometric is done previously.
I had applied visitor visa in june 2022 and it got refused in Sept 2022
I am not sure about when it started
I didn't get any mail about it.
its taking lot of time for me how ever i saw some of them getting their approvals in 1 month

our SOWP is approved based on the GCMS note, but on portal they keep showing In Progress. No communication from IRCC. It's been like this for almost 1.5 months 
we're not sure what's pending. Did they approve and forget to send out PPR? we don't know...
