I just submit the application under CEC, however my spouse has to leave Canada to countinue her job in my home country. I am pricipcal applicant and will still work in Canada. In this situation, do I still need to inform CIC if the processing of my application is ongoing. Please share your idea or give your suggestion. Thank you!

Thank you. Yes, I believe will still be prpcess. But I want to know if I need to inform CIC about her leaving. You know later, CIC will require medical report, passport and etc.....Thus, she will have to do this in my home country. Any one has experiences like this?

Hi - As long as ur PA, your wife is not required to be here in Canada. You can just add her into ur application. As far as I know - By the medicals comes then anyways u get 2 request for each of you she can do it from india and you can do it from here.
WAit for seniors advise as well.

Hello, I have to pick this topic up again and hopefully have your suggestions and experiences.
I am a December 2013 appicant under CEC. My spouse is and might be phisically in my home country when the medical examination and passport are requested. And she might have to land by herself out of Canada, but my child and I will land in Canada if our application is going well. Dose this situation will delay our applcation. Anyone knows about the situation like this, please write your advise. Thanks.

It will not delay your processing.

You and your child will do Medical in Canada, and your spouse will do it in the country s/he is staying. You can do medical anywhere in the world. Just go to a designated medical practitioner.

Since you are Principal applicant, you will land first (with your child) in Canada. Then your spouse will land at a later time.

Thank you so much. Do I need to change my spouse's adress? she will be out of Canada when her passport is request so it might be no way to submit her passport to Ottawa. Anyone has experiences, please keep posting your valuable words here.

After you get Passport Request, you will have to email Ottawa saying "My spouse would like to submit her passport in Canadian High Commission - New Delhi (or which ever High commission that works with your spouses country)". Then CIC will reply by saying "Please ask your spouse to submit their passport in nearest High Commission for Visa stamping".
