Hi Guys,

Your spouse can be your guarantor when applying for the passport, right ?
 
Oh, no, I am sorry to read on the guarantor information that the minimum requirements are that a guarantor must "provide the information needed that’s in their passport". So this means if we both just became new citizens, then we cannot be each other's guarantors. How disappointing. This was so much easier in the U.S.
 
I know spouse can be guarantor.. but wanted to confirm if any problem if spouse became citizen few weeks ago and got Canadian passport some days ago.. can spouse still be guarantor ..right?
